Diary of a Blog #DecadeHop

This post got a special mention here

2010

Life is a toddler tantrum
she is a blog and a human new-mom
doesn't know the difference between a RAM and a ROM
I am worried how she will manage me @ dot com

2011

Our poems now travel around the world
Displayed now in a cafe in Canada I am told
we are now confident and bold
the baby and I are school-age old

2012

Now we are also the published word you see
There's fame and the rat-rice thingy
We are now sturdy three
Mom writes too much and doesn't let me be

2013

We begin getting prizes and awards
hard work has its own r-e-w-a-r-d-s
mom seems to get a hang of it seems
we have a HINDI sibling now for the record

2014

We are now branching out to other addresses
feels very good to touch new bases
mom looks at the world now with new glasses
a blog is not just a diary and has more uses

2015

A challenge in this journey, next milestone
we have come a long way on our own
sometimes the words don't easily come by
but we are ready for the unknown

2016
We have become now revolutionary
we have extended every boundary
a voice strong and feisty
we move on with our lessons, wisely

2017

Younger sibling is five now
Parshv Swar is her name!
We are now much more than hobbies
filling our mom's mantel with trophies!

2018

5 years at AtoZ and now it becomes a book
Mummy is on some awesome lists
advocacy and activism our new tools
we are a voice you can't overlook

2019

at the beginning of an end
or an end of a beginning
Are we still new and fresh
or time for the second inning?

  1. Hi Pooja. Well, I remember our meeting in 2016 and have been reading you since. Of course we met several times before that but this one introduced me to Pooja, the writer. I loved your rhythmic take on the writing journey. I am proud that I knew most facts. Onwards and upwards my friend. I was only unsure of the first answer in the quiz section. I'm hoping to win!😜

  20. For me my books are my babies and I have 18 of them.
I loved reading your entry for the Bloghop, how poetically you’ve handled the prompt is worth an appreciation. No doubt the blog is your baby and you share a great mother-child relationship.
Moments of laughter, happiness, achievements and challenges make our words significant; daily habits such as writing leave deep impressions; and then there are profound moments of love, support and care which you have found through blogging just like I’ve. When you love something/someone/ I think it is important to express your feelings and you’ve done that perfectly with this post. The tribute you’ve given to your blogs are public and emotional, it’s important to be honest and clear about how readers will feel when they read it.
