The American lady next to me on the flight, who happened to live in Delhi for 3 years, told me that there is a dryness of culture in Delhi and surrounding areas compared to rest of India. I find that reflected in the bitterness with which the bloggers from Delhi write about our society. I find more positivity and pride in the posts coming from peninsular India (coastal states - Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai...) than those from the north, esp Delhi and its neighborhood. Not without reason, of course. There is both good and bad in our society, it is criminal to fail to see only one of the two.
ReplyDeleteThanks Psi,our perceptions are based on our experiences and unfortunately most of them unpleasant.
