Earthquake

Eyelids shut
dreams and tears
share the same home

her rebel soul
exiled for life
in a body 
throbbing in pain

The water runs down 
the contours of her form
she stands still
like the nude woman 
in the fountain
and lets time 
dissolve 
her
drop by drop

hoping for
an earthquake.

    Poignant poem, but I would not wish for an earthquake. I've experienced too many and they are scary.
